Christian Education

Hello everyone!

My name is Heather Wallace, and I am the Christian Education Director for Green Hills Alliance Church. I want to introduce you to some of the ministries that are going to be happening at the church this fall.

Sunday mornings from 9:30 - 10:00 AM Prayer time

Prayer is the cornerstone of all our ministries here at the church, and so getting together to pray as a family of believers is important for all ages to do. Everyone, from children to adults, have a time of prayer together. The kids are learning different ways to pray, intercede, and praise! We have a blast down in the kid's room! The adults meet in the sanctuary and concentrate on praying for the service that morning and the people that are coming that day.

Sunday evenings 6-7 PM Pioneer Clubs and family time!

"Pioneer clubs will bring exciting new experiences and fun-filled adventures to your children. They will learn more about God, the Bible, and themselves. Each week they will study the Bible, earn Bible awards, learn new skills, and even earn awards! They will also play games and have fun getting to know the other students and the adults that care for them!"

Girls 1st - 6th grade are taught by Melinda and Louise in one of the downstairs classrooms.
Boys 1st - 6th grade are taught by Shawn and Tyler in one of the downstairs classrooms.
Children ages 4-Kindergarten are taught by Heather or Stacey in the Children's room downstairs.

Adults also have a time of learning and meeting together in the sanctuary. It is a small group format, and this quarter is being taught by Nathan on a book called Embracing Grace by Scot McKnight.

After other activities are over for the evening, the youth (7th - 12th grade) are invited to hang out for a time of teaching, fun, and hanging out with Shawn and Tyler. This usually goes until about 8:30.

Wednesday evenings 7:00 PM, "School of Prayer!"

This is a time for adults to get together and learn to pray. There will be hands-on activities such as prayer-walking, visitation as needed, and a chance to not only learn different ways to pray, but to put them into action.

****All of our workers that are involved with our children go through a screening process, have filled out a background check paper and provided references. We use the "Safe Place" policy to keep our children safe and loved at the church!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the church. Thanks!!!
